Re-Examination of Academic Programs to Enhance Quality of Teaching & Student Learning

As another attempt to help with the assessment of each major program in each School, each School is asked to re-examine its academic program offerings. One main purpose of this re-examination of academic major programs is to provide an opportunity to look at alignment at several levels:

  1. Alignment between the institution's mission & vision and an academic major program outcomes

  2. Alignment between an academic major program outcome and its curriculum outcomes

  3. Alignment between various course components

It is hoped that this information will become transparent to all current and perspective students. Students will know what is required for completing a major program (program outcomes), and how they will be assessed (in terms of the articulated program outcomes).
