Senior Assessment

All graduating seniors are required to complete this post-assessment for General Education Program, a portion of courses that all students are required to complete as part of their majors.  This Senior Assessment (For more information on assessment at Rio, click here ==> senior assessment) is intended to collect information about your general college-level knowledge and skills described in the nine General Education Program Goals (p. 51, 2003-2005 Course Catalog).  The results of this assessment are to be used for three purposes

Ø      To provide data that you can use to compare yourself with your fellow graduates from URG;

Ø      To provide data that the University can use to improve teaching.

Ø      To provide this information to your future employer(s) who would request it.

Sign up for this assessment by e-mail (IMPORTANT: in your e-mail message, please write in the subject line "senior assessment;" without the subject line, your e-mail message may be deleted by the campus computing network firewall program for virus protection purposes) to Beverly McManus (bmcmanus@rio.edu), or call 740-245-7279, with the following information:

ü    your name
ü    your student ID number

You will receive notification about the detailed directions on how to complete the assessment.

Once you have completed this assessment, your name will be forwarded to the Records Office for your graduation completion requirement.  Please direct your questions through e-mail at bmcmanus@rio.edu.
