Senior Assessment on Basic Technology Competency (ABTC)

  1. Who needs to take it?
    All graduating seniors (two-year and four-year degree programs).
  2. What is this assessment for?
    This assessment is designed to assess some of the basic competencies in technology related areas, such as the use of internet, e-mail, computer skills, among others.
  3. When will it take place?
    You can take it any time during the academic year during which time you plan to graduate.
  4. How do I sign up for this assessment?
    You will be notified through e-mail, after you have contacted (e-mail only; no phone calls, as this requirement of making the contact is part of the assessment of your ability to use e-mail for communication) Beverly McManus (bmcmanus@rio.edu) about your plan to take the senior assessment, as to which one assessment activity you will take.
  5. How do I do it?
    As a senior, you will be asked to take only ONE of the available assessment activities as part of your required senior graduation completion.
