Information Technology Programs
The Associate of
Applied Science Degree in Information Technology is an interdisciplinary
academic program offered by the Schools of Business, Sciences, and
Technology. Core curriculum degree offerings from the schools provide
students with basic knowledge and skills required in Information Technology
(IT) careers. Specialized courses from each school serve as an IT Technical Major
that is focused on one aspect of Information Technology. The Technical Majors
were developed as seamless pathways for High School - College Tech Prep
graduates.
The School of
Technology offers a Technical Major in Network Systems. This program area
will prepare students for careers dealing with network systems analysis,
planning, and implementation. Students will gain the necessary skills to
analyze network system needs for design, installation, maintenance, and
management of network systems. Skills acquired will assist students to obtain
computer hardware and network certifications. Essential skill areas include:
